Terms and Conditions

Your privacy is important to us. We want your experience on the Internet to be safe and transparent. These terms describe how we collect and use information from visitors and subscribers. Please read them carefully.

Introduction

Our company collects information in different ways from visitors and subscribers who access our services and the network of websites accessible through our service. We have created this policy to demonstrate our commitment to privacy and security.

This policy describes how we collect information from end users of our Internet services—those who access our services without accounts (“Visitors”) and those who may purchase products or subscribe (“Subscribers”). It also describes what we do with that information and the choices you have. We take measures to safeguard against unauthorized disclosure, but we cannot guarantee that personally identifiable information will never be disclosed in a manner inconsistent with this policy. For consumer rights, see FTC and FTC Consumer.

Registration

Subscribers may be asked to provide personal information when signing up for products or services, including name, address, telephone number, billing information, and the type of device used to access the services. This information is used to manage accounts and for billing. It may be shared with third parties as stated here or in special circumstances.

When we and a partner jointly promote our services, we may provide the partner certain personal information (such as name, address, and username) of persons who subscribed as a result of that promotion, for the purpose of offering you other products and services. In that case, the partner may not use the information for any other purpose. We may also generate non-identifying, aggregate profiles from registration data (such as total number of subscribers, not names) and use this for advertising as described below.

With purchases, we may supply our members’ contact information to business partners who may contact the member after the purchase. Sales proceeds may be collected by the business partner. We may also supply other companies with contact information for offers we believe may interest our subscribers. At times we may send an advertisement for a third-party product, collect the sales proceeds, and forward the purchaser’s information to that third party. You can review our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer for more context.

Partners and Sponsors

Some products and services may be offered in conjunction with an affiliate, independent contractor, or non-affiliated partner. To provide those products and services, the partner may need to collect and maintain personal information.

Online Shopping

At some websites you can purchase products or services, or register to receive materials such as newsletters or product updates. You may be asked for contact information, including name, address, email, phone number, and payment information.

If you complete an order for someone else (for example, a gift), you may be asked for the recipient’s name, address, and phone number. We have no control over how third parties use personal information you provide when placing such an order; please exercise care. If you order directly from our company, we use the information you provide to process that order and may share it with outside parties we do business with.

Online Advertisements

We may display online advertisements. In those cases we may share information about our visitors and subscribers (collected through registration, surveys, or promotions) with advertisers. We may use this information to deliver tailored advertisements or joint ventures—for example, when an advertiser specifies an audience and provides an ad, we may display or send that ad to the intended audience. Our company may share personal information about visitors or subscribers with these advertisers or joint venture companies.

Responses to Email Inquiries

When visitors or subscribers send email inquiries to our company, we use the return email address to answer the inquiry we receive.

Voluntary Customer Surveys

We may periodically conduct business or individual customer surveys. We encourage participation because surveys help us improve the types of products and services we offer and how we provide them.

We may combine survey responses with those of other customers to create broader, generic responses (such as gender, age, residence, hobbies, education, employment, or other demographics). We use this aggregated, non-personally identifying information to improve our services and develop new ones, and we may share it with third parties.

Promotions

We may offer polls, contests, sweepstakes, drawings, games, or other promotions sponsored by or co-branded with third parties. You may be entered by making a purchase or by providing personally identifiable information for another reason. Third parties may obtain information you voluntarily submit; we have no control over their use of it.

Personally identifiable information may also be collected when you order products, enter contests, vote in polls, subscribe to newsletters, or participate in forums or communities. This may include name, address, email, telephone number, payment information, and interests. Sponsors or third parties may send you material related to our services, products, or activities.

Special Cases

It is our policy to use or share personal information about visitors or subscribers in the ways described here without additional notice or opt-out. We may disclose personal information, or information regarding your use of our services or accessible websites, when we believe it is reasonable to do so—including to credit agencies, collection agencies, law enforcement, or to satisfy laws such as the Electronic Communications Privacy Act or the Child Online Privacy Act, or to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone violating our terms or policies, to operate our services properly, or to protect our company and our subscribers.

Browser-Level Information

Our web servers may automatically collect information about a user’s IP address, browser type, the URL you came from, and the URL you go to next, as provided by the browser. This information is collected in a database and used in an aggregated, anonymous manner for internal analysis of traffic patterns. We may also use a third party to collect information, including through web beacons.

California Compliance

This policy identifies the categories of personally identifiable information our company collects through our website or online service about individual consumers, and the categories of third parties with whom we may share that information. Our company does not maintain a process for an individual consumer to review and request changes to personally identifiable information collected through our website or online service. See the section “Revisions to this Policy” for how we notify consumers of material changes. The effective date of this policy is listed at the end under “Last updated.” For California privacy rights, see California CCPA.

Definitions

Depending on the visitor’s activity on our commercial website or online service, the following “personally identifiable information” may be collected, in addition to information set forth in other sections of this document.
